We wrote to Columbia Records to ask for their permission to use happy for our music video. We had to this because of copyright and infringement issues as we did our research and some of the videos on youtube that have done covers of songs have stated "I do not own this video" or "No copyright infringement intended" and as our video was for education purposes we as a group felt that it was only right to do the same and put it in an informal letter stating our intentions.
